Signing meeting with FRANCOIS and VALENTIN MOREL around their book “Dictionary in Love with Friendship”

Saturday December 21, 2024
Saint-Leu-la-Forêt

Here is a very nice end of year invitation: “Friends of the À la Page bookstore” of Saint-Leu-la-Forêt invite you to meet François and Valentin Morel on the occasion of the publication of their “Dictionary in love with friendship” published by Éditions Plon. We will have the pleasure of meeting François Morel whom we have known for more than 35 years since the “Deschiens” until the Chronicles on Inter Friday mornings, actor, director, comedian, essayist, singer ; this will be the opportunity to discover Valentin, who we know less, assistant director at the cinema, then the happy driver of Jean-Pierre Bacri. We will know more by reading their book… » Thanks to Nelly Bernard, manager of the bookstore, for organizing this event!

François Morel is one of our the best-known personalities of the Valley.
It will be a pleasure to meet him again in Saint-Leu with his son Valentin. In 2022, they wrote their first Love dictionary dedicated to the useless (this cannot be invented!) and are doing it again today with a second who mentions friendship.
But let’s not delay and give way to the two authors who present their work to us:
« To express our recognition, our gratitude, to tell it that it is precious, indispensable, beneficial, we would like to build a monument to friendship. But we are not builders, we do not have the capabilities. So we tried to write a book which wanders, which has fun, which wanders, which wanders, which strolls in the alleys of friendshipwithout any obligation because friendship is never imperious, never pressing, never authoritarian, a book that would wander, nose in the air, hair in the wind, on the paths of friendship. »

The signing meeting looks exciting and should not cause melancholy!

Saturday December 21, 2024 from 5 p.m. – “À la page 2001” bookstore 16 rue du Général Leclerc Saint-Leu-la-Forêt – Free entry.

Presentation of the “Dictionary in Love with Friendship
(extract from the foreword of the book)
When everything worries, when everything anguishes, destroys, desolates, when everything gets worse, exasperated, mortified, when everything gets confused, blurred, corrupted, when everything gets worse, becomes heavier, more complicated, when everything distresses, saddens, is overwhelmed, when the world seems to be drifting away, led by delusional, furious, enraged leaders, when certainties waver, when doubt paralyzes, when the world is in fire and blood, when the planet is burning, when loves have the reputation of being ephemeral, when childhood fades away, when illness lurks, when old age is on the lookout, when stupidity, war, madness everywhere in the world seems to want to win the game, when stupidity prevails, when everything seems to be going to waste, when everything is falling apart, when everything is falling apart, when the pellets blow, when the toilet are clogged, when the car breaks down, when we receive on the same day a letter of dismissal, a letter of formal notice from the URSSAF, a ransom demand, we would not be far from giving in to a slight discouragement. Fortunately, there remains a feeling which reassures, consoles, relieves, a feeling which comforts, softens, soothes, gives courage, a feeling which brings balm to the heart and the heart to the work, allows us to pull ourselves together, to hang on to the branches, which reveals a corner of blue sky behind the clouds. Fortunately, there remains a feeling which is a light in the opacity, a beacon in the night, a glimmer in the abyss, a point of reference in the storm, a bitter mark on the terrifying ocean of confusion, of renunciation, of discouragement and this feeling is called friendship.
