Former director of the Bron Book Festival – an event which will not have its 40th edition due to financial difficulties, Yann Nicol joins Actes Sud editions as publisher for the French domain. His mission will also be to coordinate, in cooperation with all the teams, the promotion and editorial communication of the house.
Holder of a DEA in Modern Letters which he devoted to the work of Louis Calaferte, Yann Nicol was a critic for The Literary Magazinethen independent editor for Editions de l'Iconoclaste. He was also literary advisor for events such as the 70th anniversary of the National Book Center (CNL) or the 40th anniversary of the Center Georges Pompidou.
A literary presenter for more than fifteen years for events such as Étonnants voyageurs, Les Correspondances de Manosque, the Paris Book Festival or Le livre sur la place, he was at the head, for ten years, of the Fête du Bron's book, for which he worked alongside Brigitte Giraudwinner of the 2022 Goncourt Prize.
Actes Sud reorganizes the communications department
The company's communications department is now placed under the dual responsibility of Cécile Mariani, press officer for almost ten years, now promoted to the position of head of the press service, and Yannis Koïkasdirector of the digital division.
