Ddedications, sales and many new pens: 35 authors will be present at the 9e edition of the Chabanais Book Fair, created in 2005 by local historian José Délias and which will celebrate its ten years of existence next year. “It is important to diversify and renew our offerings to the public every year,” said librarian Laetitia Quichaud, who tries to find new themes and writers for each edition.
Among the new faces: Martine Chauvignac, who lives around Brive-la-Gaillarde, will be present with “Protecting your vegetable garden from a scorching summer”, a book on gardening and climatic hazards. Pierre Frémont will be there with his detective novels (“Un bastard au salon”, “Le Silence du corbeau”…) and many others will be discovered on site. Comics, children’s literature, poetry, documentaries, adventure novels… There will be something for all tastes and budgets. Enough to find the gift to put under the tree for young and old.
