To close the second edition of the Literary Prize for Toddlers, the Saint-Valentin media library announced the results on Saturday, June 29. In order to reach as many participants as possible, this prize was expanded with more books distributed throughout the territory. The partnership also expanded since the Niherne, Buzançais and Villedieu media libraries lent their book series. For the second part of the year, this prize will fly to these media libraries to once again be in the hands of young readers and the adults who accompany them. The Librairix bookstore in Châteauroux also lent its support on Saturday morning.
This year, 214 votes were recorded compared to 180 in 2023. The following books occupy the first three steps of the podium: Show me who you arewith 25 votes; My hedgehogwith 19 votes; And guess who I amwith 18 votes.
After the announcement of the results, a shadow theatre was offered to the children and their parents. This encouraging participation brings the Vatan and Saint-Valentin media libraries, the Early Childhood Relay and the early childhood care structures of the Champagne-Boischauts Community of Communes to meet in 2025 for a third edition.
