Albi. The rich program of Œillades
The Les Œillades French-speaking film festival takes over Albigensian cinemas from November 19 to 24. A 28th edition which has chosen “music in cinema” as its breadcrumb trail. The Lapérouse, Cordeliers and Arcé theaters will screen more than thirty previews, as well as a beautiful poster of “favorite” films in the presence of actors and directors.
Among them, Julie Gayet who will present “Olympe de Gouges”, a film she directed and in which she plays the famous revolutionary. Punctuated by the usual meetings that have made it successful for nearly thirty years, the festival will welcome composers who come to talk about their profession, sound effects workshops and film concerts.
Cordes-sur-Ciel. 30 authors at the Children’s Book Fair
The 6th edition of the Cordes-sur-Ciel children's book fair will be held Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24 at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Authors, illustrators, publishers and booksellers are invited to reveal their worlds and the secrets of their trades.
For two days, they will sign their works and meet budding readers. Novels, illustrated books, manga, comics…: all genres will be represented. And on the animation side, workshops (stop motion, manga creation, pop-up art, etc.) will open the doors to literature for young readers in a fun way.
Graulhet. Casimir Ferrer headlines.
This 2024 edition of the “Art Graulhet” show opens Thursday, November 21 with, as guest of honor, the great Tarn sculptor and painter Casimir Ferrer. Alongside him and until November 24, around twenty renowned artists will exhibit their work in the main hall of the Forum.
Live performances, participatory activities, artists' market… The show goes off the beaten track to make this major exhibition an immersive experience. It will continue with the upcoming installation of seven monumental sculptures in the streets of the city.
Lavaur. An anti-waste show to bring our objects back to life
Saturday, November 23, the “Récup à Faire” show will take place under the Halle d’Occitanie to learn how to give a second life to everyday objects. Repair, tinker, sew, transform, cook or give: discover anti-waste in a fun and festive atmosphere.
Organized by SMICTOM and Tarn Agout on the occasion of European Waste Reduction Week, this 4th edition has chosen the theme “Eat better, waste less”. Healthy, sustainable, local and above all… waste-free food will be at the heart of the events and stands. The day will end in style with the musical show “Mobylette”.
Lautrec. Café Plùm celebrates French song
The 10th edition of the “Comme ça vous chante!” festival. » begins Friday November 22, for three days of music. It has already been ten years since Café Plùm and the Ma Case association have joined forces to organize this great event to discover French song.
Until Sunday evening, names from the French repertoire will follow one another on stage, creating a poster of great eclecticism: Govrache, Liz Van Deuq, Agnès Bihl and Léonid… Also on the program are the restitution of workshops by the students of the college, a blind-test song and of course something to eat at the gourmet Café Plùm canteen.
