The Book fair grows again and again in Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure-et-Loir). There were around twenty authors last year, there will be around thirty, thirty-four precisely.
An event organized on Saturday November 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the column room, for the third edition. At the same time as the weekly market.
Young authors, others more experienced. Local writers, and others from all over France. And if many authors have already come to the Nogent Book Fair, there will also be some newcomers.
And on various genres: poetry, literary essay, historical novel… In short, an intergenerational living roomand for all types of public.
The La Place bookstore will be present
The strong point? “A large part of the authors present will present a new work, written during the year,” assures Élisabeth Frontino, the head of Circonflexe.
On the big day, among these thirty writers, a table will be reserved for the La Place bookstore in Nogent.
They will present several favorite books, including works for children.
Conferences, paper sculptures, workshops
Above all, to liven up this day, the Circonflexe has planned four animations. First two conferences. The first at 11 a.m., on “Spring 1940, the end of the Phoney War”, by François Gatineau. And the second, at 3 p.m., on La langue Percheronne, by Michel Balland.
The list of authors
Florent Roy, Rémy Gilet, Elisabeth Forgo, Anne Baschevici, Gabriel Gangnant, Christophe Aubert, Vincent Bataille, Jacques Peny, Patrick Cahart, Laurent Blondeau, Emilie Rey, Henriette Chardak, Virginie Dortet, François Gatineau, Patrick Vincelet, Danièle Renaudin, Dominique Renaudin , Jean-Jérôme De Souance, Véronique Reaud, Michel Balland, Aurore Pieuchot-Balland, Christiane Argibous-Esnault, Alain Denizet, Olivier Cojan, Patrick Taisne, Etienne Egret, Maud Lecuyer, Pierre-Alain Lemaitre, Didier Leplat, Anne De Pasquale, Pierrik Jegorel, Patrice Gazier, Philippe Collonges and Jean-François Blondel.
There will also be a creative workshop for children paper sculpture from book.
Also, Le Circonflexe contacted Sébastien Linet for an exhibition of origami sculptures. The association only discovered the artist at the beginning of November, during JapaNogent, but contacts were quick thereafter. Moreover, Sébastien Linet wrote a book on origami. “It fits perfectly into our Salon,” underlines the manager of Circonflexe.
A fresco of free expression
Finally, a large white fresco will be displayed in the Hall of Columns, from Friday, November 22.
Middle school students from Nogent will be able to come on Friday afternoon to “write a word, a sentence, a few lines, or draw a drawing, to highlight one or more emotions about today’s world”, presents Élisabeth Frontino.
This free speech banner will subsequently be installed in the community café, as a collective achievement, part of a popular education project.
Practical: third Nogent-le-Rotrou book fair, Saturday November 23, 2024, at the Salle des Colonnes in Nogent-le-Rotrou, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
