This is an observation that no one misses: we waste a lot. Fresh products or leftovers from cooked meals, no one escapes it and the observation is neither good for the planet nor for everyone's bank account. It is with this observation that Céline Rivier, a resident of Barbizon (Seine-et-Marne) has decided to fight this mess in its own way, with the upcoming publication of an e-book (Anti-waste recipes… and conservation tips) dedicated to the theme of anti-waste and the good use of our products which remain in the refrigerator…

Ancestral tips and recipe ideas

“It’s an important theme for me,” she confides. Many friends told me that they were wasting a lot of food and asked me if I had any tips for dealing with leftovers, but listening to them, I quickly realized that this was not the only problem.

Because if in general, we tend to misjudge the quantities prepared, there also remains the problem of what remains at the bottom of the fridge, waiting to be cooked. “I’m not inventing anything,” she explains. I took up ancestral tips that we have forgotten, such as directly processing our fresh vegetables to prevent them from rotting in the fridge.”

The first part of his e-book is dedicated to storage and preservation methods and tips. Then comes the second part of e-book : applications. Because if optimizing leftovers is one thing, mixing and marrying them in a harmonious way is another…

“I divided this part by category: meats, vegetables, dairy products, Céline Rivier list. Rather than focusing on a recipe, I look at what ingredients could work with my leftovers in order to obtain a simple, economical and tasty dish.

Other ideas…

L’e-book, sold for €10.90, will also be scalable with updates that will be proposed… She also has other ideas for developing the anti-waste theme… A partnership with Amap (Association for the Maintenance of Peasant Agriculture) by example and offer cooking classes to customers so they can make the most of the products they buy. In the meantime, she continues to offer her recipes and good deals on her blog and social networks. Don't hesitate to follow her.
