The first edition of and wines in Terre de ” fair will take place this Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 November 2024 in Mareau-aux-Prés, near Orléans ().

Several winegrowers will be present at the event such as Clos Saint-Fiacre from Mareau-aux-Prés, Un vin, une meeting from Cléry-Saint-André, the Anne Bléchet estate from Jouy-en-Pithiverais, etc. (©Archives Actu)

Several activities are planned during this show, here are them:

  • Table ronde “The words of wine” with Jean-Robert Pitte, academician, geographer specializing in landscape and gastronomy and honorary president of the show and Marieke Aucante, journalist at Télévisions and author – Saturday November 16, 2024 at 2 p.m.
  • Conference “Geology, wines and terroirs” by Nicolas Charles, geologist at BRGM (National Geological Service) – Saturday November 16, 2024 at 4 p.m.
  • Spectacle “It’s Bacchus’ fault” by the company Amédée Bricolo – Saturday November 16, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. / Free)
  • Local dinner (homemade and Mareau wines) – Saturday November 16, 2024 at 8 p.m. / By reservation
  • Conference “The vines and winegrowers of Orléans at the end of the Middle Ages” by Françoise Michaud-Fréjaville, professor at the University of Orléans – Sunday November 17, 2024 at 11 a.m.
  • Conference “The Gallo-Romans and wine, the example of Central Gaul” by Alain Ferdière, archaeologist specializing in rural Gaul and professor at the University of – Sunday November 17, 2024 at 2 p.m.
  • Great oenological dictation with Alexandre Vigne, associate professor of Modern Literature – Sunday November 17, 2024 at 3 p.m.
  • Wine readings by the Guillaume Budé association – Sunday November 17, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.

All weekend, visitors will also be able to enjoy the stands of different exhibitors (publishing houses, winegrowers, spirits producers, etc.) for signings and tastings.

Two exhibitions titled “Meung in the past: land of vines” (in partnership with the town of Meung-sur-Loire) and “The vine through the seasons” (photographs by Joana Durand-Gasselin) will also be available.
