The soufflé Anatomy of a fall is not about to fall again. After storming to win everything, the screenplay of the film written by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari will be published by Editions Gallimard in an edition commented by its authors and illustrated by David Lynch himself, who himself would have offered his talents as an illustrator to the couple of filmmakers.
In anticipation of the Oscars ceremony last January, where Anatomy of a fall left with the statuette for best screenplay, the magazine Deadline had put online and with free access the 144 pages of the scenario ofAnatomy of a fall in its version of February 22, 2022. Accompanied by photos, diagrams and annotations to document the case, like a real legal file, this document allowed us to dive back into this fascinating case, that of the fatal fall from the balcony of the house of Sandra's husband, a successful novelist, in the heart of the French Alps, which Triet and Harari reconstructed during an intense and shameless trial where the fatal fall and especially the private life of the couple were autopsied.
“The whole thing was about trying to be true, while understanding that it's impossible to achieve just one truth.”Arthur Harari rightly explained at the Gotham Awards. These multiple truths are therefore hidden in these 144 pages which will be released in paper form on November 28 by Editions Gallimard, accompanied by a set of unpublished working documents, including filming photos.
