Children's literature and RC Lens: Marine Alloucherie invited to the Noires Sœurs book fair

Marine Alloucherie wears several hats. She is a school teacher, fan of the Racing Club and author of children's crime fiction. So many ingredients which naturally led her to write a book which takes place in the spans of Bollaert. In this work, young readers will find the characters of Enduro sabotage (released in 2022). And if they have not yet crossed their path, no problem, the presentations are made from the first pages and this does not hinder reading in any way.

Throughout the book, the behind-the-scenes of Gaillette and Bollaert are revealed against the backdrop of an investigation, carried out in the spirit of the Club des 5. To stick as closely as possible to reality, Marine did research, but she also based on her family history, her grandfather had been spotted by RC Lens and whose great-uncle, Robert Budzinski, was a central defender at the end of the 1950s.

A hint of pedagogy

« I chose this theme because it speaks to me and because I knew it could appeal to children. In the book, I also recall the history of the club which is part of the local heritage and is linked to mining history. » Yes, professional deformation obliges, the writer never misses an opportunity to do a little pedagogy like in her novel on enduro where she spoke of equality between girls and boys or Mystery at school which highlighted the duty to remember.

As a mother of two boys herself, she realizes that it is not easy to compete with the screens. But she wants to believe it: “ Children's literature trains the readers of tomorrow, it's a shame that it is not highlighted enough. In this sense, I am honored to participate in the literary café that Fanny Haquette will host during the Noires Sœurs book fair. I will take this opportunity to remind you that through reading, we travel, we discover vocabulary and we make new friends. »

In his next novel to be published, this time it will be about horse riding near Calonne-Ricouart. Here too, the mining history of the territory is included in its synopsis. And here too, the themes covered should quickly find their readers.
