This is a concept that often comes up Third Editions : the week of announcements! They reveal the next works to be published, analyzing as usual works from pop culture, whether video games, anime and manga, films, etc. Eight announcements were made, keeping the mystery of the First Print covers while revealing the covers of the classic editions, including:
– In the plots of Game of Thrones. The new coronation of fantasya book written by Clement Drapeauwith a cover by France Mansiaux. It’s the same duo that we already found in the writing and on the classic cover of the book Beyond the Walls from Attack on Titan. The chains of freedom, from the same publisher. The book will be available in June in bookstores and on the publisher’s website.
– On the seas of One Piece. The treasures of adventure. Volume 1written by Romain Kaliszwith again France Mansiaux to the creation of the classic cover. This first volume covers the events of One Piece until the end of the Marine Ford arc, before the time skip. It will also be available in June.
– The Gundam Phenomenon. The colossus of animationsign Jean-Philippe Dubrulle. The latter recently published the book Gaming – Sociology of video games, published by Éditions de l’Aube. The classic cover is designed by Étienne Sautron. The book will be released in July.
– Who are the Mutants? Decoding the DNA of the X-Mensign Djauffre Harcourt. We find on the cover Ben Turnerrecurring illustrator for the publisher’s covers, having illustrated for example The Work of Steven Spielberg. The Art of the Blockbuster – Volume 1. This work will also be published in July.
– Secrets of Assassin’s Creed. From 2014 to 2023: Revolutionsfrom the pen of Thomas Méreuralready author of the first book on the saga named Secrets of Assassin’s Creed. From 2007 to 2014: takeoff. Marion Millier also returns to the cover design, even if since the first volume she has signed numerous covers for Third Éditions, such as those of the book The Legends of Xenogears & Xenosaga. – Hunter x Hunter. The apotheosis of shōnen. Volume 1a book written by Baptiste Peyron. He co-wrote Behind the scenes of Devolver. Business and Punk Attitude, from the same publisher. The cover is signed Marion Millier, mentioned previously. The book will be available in August.
– Sea of Stars. Bryce Kho’s concept artan official artbook featuring comments from Thierry Boulangerpresident of Sabotage Studio and creative director of the game.
– Finally, The Heart of Heart Machine was announced as a bonus during theAG French Directconference broadcast on May 29, 2024. Written by Thierry Falcozthis is a work from the collection The Heart ofmixing artbook and making of, such as the work The Heart of A Plague Tale presented in our columns in 2022. The book will deal with Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ashas well as the future Hyper Light Breaker, with interview with Alx Preston, founder of the studio. No release date has been revealed at this time.
