We are not revealing the fate of Antonio Borjas Romero out of pure pettiness since it is the author himself who tells us about it from the first pages. Miguel Bonnefoy also enjoys, in this flamboyant novel, announcing to us in advance what his protagonists will become. What fascinates him is not only the end of a journey, but the thousand obstacles to overcome to reach the summit. Those who already know the novelist know how abundant and swirling his writing is.

And it is quite an art to tell so many adventures in this baroque language without ever leading the reader astray. However, we follow this dizzying epic without getting lost, quite the contrary. Miguel Bonnefoy knows how to intrigue us and even confuse us, and achieves a masterstroke: this family saga could consist of three volumes, as each sentence alone contains a wealth of information
