Graulhet. Listen to your book at the media library

the essential
Throughout the month of May, the network of media libraries of the Gaillac Graulhet Urban Community invites the public to let themselves be tempted by sound creation.

During the month of April, media library users were recorded, sometimes impromptu, to share a reading. The children of the ALAE (Accueil de Loisirs Associated with the School) of Labessières-Candeil also took part in this adventure. Excerpts from these recordings, interspersed with musical extracts played by students from the Graulhet music conservatory, can be discovered during immersive breaks in the media library.

Then from May 28 to June 4, during the media library’s opening hours, the public will be able to sit comfortably in “Magic Cocoons” and be surprised by listening to other readers and librarians recount their favorite texts. Sound nap and wonderful immersive reading experience guaranteed!

On Saturday June 1st at 9:30 a.m., the time will come for the noisy readings open to everyone from 3 years old and by reservation. The principle is to discover the sound techniques of cinema which will invest the literary universe to give a sound effect show, during which everyone will be able to accompany the song of whales or the take-off of planes to dream with their eyes open.

“Listen to your book” is a connection between the book, the voice, reading, sound effects and listening. This takes place at the Margueritte Yourcenar media library, 16 rue de la Mégisserie. Information and reservations on 05 63 33 25 25 and this also happens in the other media libraries of the Agglo.
