Act 2 of the States General

Act 2 of the States General
Act 2 of the States General

The central theme of this edition will be the remuneration of authors and other participants in literary festivals (translators, moderators, project leaders, etc.). This will involve exploring the different dimensions of this remuneration, such as price scales, exhibition rights or even videoconference interventions.

The question of the economic sustainability of festivals will also be at the heart of the discussions, as will the issues of eco-responsibility and accessibility, two increasingly crucial subjects for organizers of cultural events.

Round tables and debates will allow us to discuss the renewal of audiences and programming, a major challenge in ensuring cultural diversity and the long-term survival of festivals. Among the speakers, recognized professionals in the sector, such as festival directors and representatives of authors’ associations, will share their experiences and thoughts.

This event is part of a desire to promote ethical and sustainable practices in the world of publishing and literary events, while opening a space for dialogue for the various players in the sector.

Find in this file the interviews and studies which underlie this Act 2 of the Estates General. In addition, the round tables can be listened to again as a podcast.
