The “You read it” Prize will be awarded to the two winners as part of the 2024 Book Fair, Saturday November 9 at 3 p.m., at the Espace des Trois provinces.
At the end of fascinating and intense debates, the twelve young middle and high school students from Brive, jurors of the Tu l’as lu – Crédit Agricole Center France Awards, delivered their verdict.
These youth prizes from the Brive Book Fair 2024 go to two authors of powerful books on school bullying and the Resistance.
This is Amélie Antoine for her chilling thriller Don’t you see anything coming, published by Syros (selection for 12-14 year olds) and by Elise Fontenaille for her historical and moving novel Missak and Mélinée: a story of the Red Poster, published in Rouergue.
Two confirmed authors
Amélie Antoine was born in 1984 and lives in Lille. In 2016, his first novel Loyal to the post attracted more than 250,000 readers. She signs with Don’t you see anything coming, a shocking book on the mechanism of school bullying.
Élise Fontenaille was born in 1960 and lives in Auvergne. A long-time journalist, she now devotes herself to writing. Halfway between fiction and history, his book Missak and Mélinee tells the destiny of twenty-three heroes who resisted against Nazi Germany and fought to the end for their freedom.
Marin, considered one of the greatest current comic book authors, will be the big guest at the Brive Book Fair 2024
