The second edition of the Verviers book and comic strip festival, an initiative of the Comptoir des Ressources Creativees de Verviers, at the Athénée Royal Thil Lorrain was in full swing this weekend. A festival anchored on regional authors, but not only, and which has grown compared to its first edition.

No longer say Verviers Book and Comics Festival but Nouvelle Page 2024. The event therefore finds a name for its second edition.

Sixty-nine authors compared to fifty-six last year, this festival is growing in step with increasing demand from authors and the public. At the top of the section, comic strips for which Verviers is still fertile ground.

Animations tickle the imagination and open the doors to the world of comics for young people.

A festival is also a place of discovery. In preview, regional author Dominique Van Cotthem presents her fourth novel. “The murderous waters” resonates with the floods of July 2021, …again and again.

Authors and audiences grew in number over the hours. See you no doubt for a New Page in 2025.
