Author Hélène Huillet will host a signing session, Monday May 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Styl’Ô Plume bookstore and stationery store in Caussade. Toulouse by birth, after a few journeys, Hélène allowed herself to be charmed by this powerful and tortuous Quercy. It became his adopted region. She has lived near Cahors for almost thirty years where she completed a career dedicated to children. “I’m spending a retirement there full of reading, because I became a volunteer librarian,” she confides. After a first novel about a children’s home to turn the page, Quercy, always him, inspired him a medieval thriller “The Stone Man”. Then “A surprise at every step” followed, a contemporary story in the South-West.

Encouraged by her readers, Hélène wrote a sequel to “The Stone Man” which she has the pleasure of presenting today: “Les Murmures de la splendor”. This historical novel takes place partly in Quercy, in the 14th century. Benjamin, the young hero, takes readers on wild adventures. The icing on the cake, the coincidence of the calendar means that it can also present “Les Bavardages de la porte bleue”, a collection of short stories illustrated by artists almost all from Lotois.
