A publishing house rooted in

L’Andriague, a fabulous monster used as a mount by a hero in ancient stories and legends, is an associative publishing house based in Loiret in Saint-Hilaire-sur-Puiseaux. It publishes French and French-speaking literature with two or three works per year.

The publishing house was created in 2021 with an editorial line focused on travel in the broad sense (internal and external), abroad, elsewhere, exile and nostalgia for the native country. Our goal is to promote young authors or authors with little media coverage who write quality texts. We also give voice to artists whose mode of expression is not (or not primarily) writing: painters, actors, calligraphers, etc. “, explains its founder, the poet and novelist Frédérique de Lignières, known for her very beautiful fantasy novel The Alliance.

The Andriague books are printed in Loiret (Les impressions réunies in Ingré) and the publishing house participates in numerous book fairs and signing sessions in the region, far from the ambient Parisianism which predominates in the publishing world.

The association also strives to create and host events around books and literature, particularly in rural areas. With the support of the town of Lorris, it has created the Guillaume de Lorris literary prize awarded each year to an unpublished novel manuscript. The first edition in 2023 was devoted to “En attendant” by Anne-Sophie Guénéguès.

Andriague also published a solidarity book in 2023 – “The Deer Shepherd” – all of whose income is donated to the association “Girls at School and Solidarity” which fights for the education of girls and against forced marriage in West Africa.

Our projects for the coming months and years are extremely numerous. In particular, we intend to: organize a conference on imaginary literature, participate in the meetings of French-speaking writers in San Diego in the USA or publish a bilingual book to make known the Korean poetesses of the past. ” concludes Frédérique de Lignières.
