Breaking news: Narin’s dead body was found!

The lifeless body of Narin Güran (8), who went missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır on August 21, was found in the Eğertutmaz Stream, approximately 2 kilometers from the village, on the 19th day of the search operations.

According to the news in DHA, the incident took place in the rural Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Bağlar district in the afternoon of August 21.

When Narin Güran, who was attending a Quran course, did not return home after leaving, her family searched for her using their own means. When the search conducted with the villagers did not yield any results, Narin’s father Arif Güran went to the gendarmerie station at around 20:00 on the same day and reported his daughter missing.

Thereupon, Bağlar Gendarmerie Command, Bağlar Public Security Commando Company Command, Gendarmerie Special Operations teams, Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT), Intelligence Branch Directorate, Dog Tracking Team and Underwater Search and Rescue Team, as well as health, AFAD, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Underwater Search teams and search and rescue teams from district municipalities were dispatched to the region.

Around 150 vehicles that were detected passing on the road during the hours Narin went missing were questioned. Searches were conducted in the houses in the neighborhood and in the vehicles that entered the village. A total of 12,565 vehicles were searched, 130 people were questioned, 32,952 people were checked, and an area of ​​more than 11 thousand acres was searched with 7 tracking dogs.

LAST IMAGES ON SECURITY CAMERA

On the other hand, the last images of Narin before she disappeared were captured on the school’s security camera. The images, which show 15:15 on August 21, show Narin walking with 4 friends and then leaving and heading home using the hill road. During the search operations, 2 different children’s slippers were found 3 kilometers from the Güran family’s house on August 22 and 2 kilometers from the house on August 28. However, it was determined that neither slipper belonged to Narin Güran according to her family’s statement.

As part of the investigation, Narin Güran’s older brother, EG (18), was detained due to bite marks on his arm. After examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin, and EG was released.

HIS UNCLE WAS ARRESTED

As part of the investigation, Narin’s uncle, Salim Güran, who is also the headman of the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, was taken into custody. It was determined that the DNA samples taken from Güran’s vehicle matched the DNA samples on Narin’s clothing. After the procedures at the gendarmerie, Salim Güran was taken to the courthouse in an armored vehicle and arrested by the court on August 2nd for the crimes of “deliberate murder” and “deprivation of liberty.”

As part of the work, the gendarmerie, accompanied by the investigating prosecutor, also conducted a search using an underground imaging device in the neighborhood cemetery, especially in the graves of those buried recently. However, no findings were found. The Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams also conducted work in the Eğertutmaz Stream, 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, on the previous 3 days.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND

During the search operations carried out by the teams on the 19th day, Narin’s lifeless body was found in Eğertutmaz Creek. While entry and exit to the neighborhood were prohibited, Narin’s lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya also made a statement on his social media account, saying, “Unfortunately, the lifeless body of our daughter Narin, who went missing in the Tavşantepe Neighborhood of the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was found by our gendarmerie teams. I pray to God for mercy on our daughter Narin. May she rest in peace. My condolences.”

FOUND IN A SACK FROM THE SLIMMES

According to the news by Veysi İpek from Habertürk, a second search operation had been launched in the Eğertutmaz Stream where Narin was found. Accordingly, it was stated that Narin’s lifeless body was found in the stream 1.5 kilometers away from the village. It was learned that the lifeless body of the little boy was found in a sack in the mud. It was learned that Güran’s lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine morgue.

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu said in a statement, “Narin Güran was found dead in a sack with her clothes on by the stream, covered with stones, at around 08.45.”

Zorluoğlu, who stated that today, a gendarmerie search and rescue team coordinated by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, two underwater rescue teams, two gendarmerie special operations teams, two commando teams, a tracking dog, two cadaver dogs, a search and rescue dog, a drone and two underground imaging devices conducted a search in the Eğertutmaz Stream passing close to the neighborhood, noted the following:

“The missing child Narin Güran was unfortunately found dead at around 08:45 in the morning, in a sack with the clothes she was last seen wearing, hidden by stones on the bank of a stream. According to initial findings, it was understood that after the missing Narin Güran was killed, she was put in a sack and brought to the bank of the stream, placed in the water with the sack on the bank of the stream, and covered with tree branches and stones in a way that would not arouse suspicion and to give a natural appearance. As part of our work to re-search all previously searched areas, this area of ​​Eğertutmaz Creek was searched again and the body of our missing daughter was found by our expert gendarmerie, JAK and JÖH teams. We pray to God for mercy on our daughter. Our condolences.”

Governor Zorluoğlu, in response to journalists’ questions, reminded them that the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office had a confidentiality order on the matter, and therefore they would not be taking questions. Zorluoğlu added that the press and public would be informed about developments as needed.

ENTERING THE VILLAGE IS NOT ALLOWED

According to the news in AA, Narin’s body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. The teams conducted an examination in Eğertutmaz Creek and its surroundings.

The body of Narin Güran, who was found in the search conducted in the area in question, was taken to the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy after the examination at the scene. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu also came to the area and made examinations.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that they will follow up the process to ensure that those responsible for the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran receive the harshest punishment.

Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc also made a statement saying, “The sad news of our daughter Narin Guran, who went missing in the Tavşantepe Neighborhood of Diyarbakir’s Baglar district, deeply saddened us all. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel requested that the public be informed quickly and accurately regarding the death of Narin Güran, who went missing in Diyarbakır and whose lifeless body was found today.
