After two defeats this morning, the two French mixed pairs won their second group match this afternoon: Jules Menard and Sonia Hickel beat Japan, while Aurélie Aubert and Aurélien Fabre dominated the Netherlands.

Success in two sets (6-3, 6-0) and qualification for the semi-finals
from the wheelchair tennis tournament!!! That’s good.

I therefore propose to lengthen the basins.

“It was very hard for me in Tokyo. The bronze wasn’t what I had already come for, but it’s already a medal. My asset was the end of the race, I didn’t manage to come back. But I managed to touch third. In Tokyo, I had done fourth… I’ve come a long way, my friends and my family helped me. I’m proud of this third place.”

The Frenchman ran a strong race, especially in the final meters. But Wang held on to the lead, as did Colombian Crispin Corzo, second in this race.

The semi-final is fast approaching. And the medal would be assured, if I’m not mistaken. There are no minor finals in wheelchair tennis.

After bronze and silver, we want gold today!

The French won the first set 6-3. The good news keeps coming for the French.

“It was missing that little something extra. The three days of descent [après la médaille d’or] were complicated. These medals are a way of thanking those people who came to support us. It’s still a nice silver medal, I was far from being the favorite. I’m not quite on my best footing, it’s not enough to go for first place.”

The first medal in the S9 category. The Frenchman started a little behind everyone, because of his handicap, but he caught up with his opponents, except one, in the last 50 m. Great performance!

In 100m backstroke, category S9

The French pair lead 5-2 against the Brazilians Carneiro Silva and Rodrigues

But the Frenchman, who still saved three match points, still brings a new medal to the French delegation, with bronze! Yes, because the two beaten in the semi-finals are automatically in bronze.

Third round for the Frenchman, who comes back to 2-1. Come on, my boy. We were a little scared though, while he was leading 9-5, he was caught up, but managed to finish 11-9.

Second set 11-4 for the Pole. There is no match.
