Ukraine hopes to return to League A at the end of this League campaign in a tough group with Georgia, the surprise team of the last Euro, Albania and the Czech Republic. The Ukrainian selection finished in last place in its group during the Euro but with the same number of points as the leader, Romania. It was a close call for Ukraine to reach the 1/8th finals! After a poor start against Romania (0-3), the Ukrainians stepped up to beat Slovakia (2-1) and hold Belgium (0-0), a draw that was certainly not enough.
Will Albania go on for a 6th consecutive official match without a win? The Albanian selection only took 1 point during the Euro in its 3 matches against Croatia (2-2) and lost to Italy (1-2) and Spain (0-1). Brazilian coach Sylvinho has done a good job since taking office in January 2023 and Albania is managing to hang on to the strongest European nations. In this Nations League, the latter could pull off one or two surprises.
