Admirable in their self-sacrifice, lively as can be, the people of Quimper have long teased the leader of N2M, even if they have always sailed at a respectable distance. However, we feared the worst for Hans Lhermitte's students, after a failed start to the meeting, where blunders were legion. The strong defense of the Marmandais, combined with their speed of execution, got the better of their enthusiasm at that moment. Unable to regulate the power of Seck and Bekoullé-Ekambi, dominant under the two circles, they took 10 minutes before reacting. The entry of the bubbling Alain Nkombé Mbela, even more lively than Alioune Bruno (that's an understatement!), had however offered them a renewed sense of hope and energy.
Eye to eye!
Trailing by 16 points at the break (32-48), the young Quimper players had even scored up to 22 points (34-56). But their third quarter was to completely revive them. Under the leadership of the Bruno-NKombé tandem duo, they then came back below ten points (58-60, in the 30th minute). Their leech defense allowed them to steal many balls, knowing that they also suffered less from the rebound. Sensing the danger, the Marmandais then found themselves obliged to go into defense in the zone to disrupt the Quimperois.
They succeeded and logically imposed wear and tear. Nevertheless, the Quimper kids left the floor without regret, happy to have looked their hosts eye to eye.
