Migrant project manager and access to rights – Ile de M/F

The Ile-de- regional space of Secours Catholique – Caritas France is looking for its person in charge of migrant projects – access to rights.

The Migrant Project Manager – Access to Rights – Advocacy is based in , in the CEDRE premises with regular travel to Ile-de-France.
The position is placed under the responsibility of the director of CEDRE, and managed in coordination with the regional delegate and the national manager of Reception and Foreigners' Rights.

Mainly, he leads and supports the action of support, access to rights and advocacy with migrants in the 7 delegations of Ile-de-France by strengthening the capacities of local actors on the issues linked to the reception of migrants.

In addition, he/she also contributes to the work of the national Migrants team.

Finally, with the aim of maintaining field practice and direct contact with people in exile, 30% of working time is devoted to CEDRE missions. CEDRE is a place of welcome for exiled people but also a resource center for the Secours catholique network.

Mission Description

Leads and supports migrant support and advocacy action at the regional level :
-Co-leads or leads the regional migrant strategic group

-

-Facilitates internal networking and contributes to the development of the exchange of practices and the sharing of tools. To do this, she leads meetings and organizes regional training.
-Supports, within regional spaces, the leaders of the theme in strengthening the capacities of volunteer and employee actors of the delegations:
>Social, legal and cultural support
>Internal and external networking, exchange of experiences between stakeholders
>Organization of training
>Raising awareness of the realities of poverty among migrants
-Supports the emergence of regional projects based on the analysis of needs then supports the pilots in their mission
-Supports advocacy actions at the regional level.
-Is required to represent Secours Catholique within various inter-association groups.

Contributes to the development of action and advocacy strategies for departmental delegations :
-Is in dialogue with the leaders of the migrant theme and the departmental offices in the definition of their support and advocacy action strategy
-Can have a role in advising delegations in their local advocacy
-Supports the network in crisis management if necessary

Participates in the development of the “Migrants” action and advocacy strategy
national level :
-Contributes within the national Migrants team to the development of action development and advocacy strategies within the network and with partners, ensuring the involvement of people in precarious situations.
-May have a referent or expert role on a particular subject.
-Exercises a monitoring role on the evolution of regulatory and legislative social action mechanisms.
-Contributes to the development of analytical and positioning texts in order to inform advocacy positions, as well as to the capitalization of experiences.
-Is required to represent the association to public authorities or political representatives at regional or national level.

Participates in the reception, projects and overall animation of CEDRE :
-Supports the activity of access to rights by participating in hotlines (2 ½ days/month) and contributes to the reflections and projects of the reception-information-orientation team.
-Participates in the overall animation of the branch's volunteer network
-May be required to manage or participate in specific projects

Is a member of the Interregional Team:
-Contributes to defining and implementing the overall support strategy for delegations
