Very moved, the latter was raised to the rank of commander: “You do not imagine what Saint Vincent represents for the winemakers. We have often worn it on our shoulders, we welcomed it in our homes each time we receive the saint on January 22. The brotherhood also honored “the old winegrowers of the village who worked so much for the fame of our coast”, according to Jean-François Curie. Six former winegrowers were made knights. They are Denise Mallard, Nicole Ravaut, François Comparate, Michel Terrand, François Pinte, Claudette Nudant. Edmond Cornu has obtained the rank of commander.
