Thursday, May 1, a case ranked without follow-up to the United States was finally resolved announces the Sheriff of Reedsburg, in Wisconsin. The missing woman was found after 63 years.
The case dated in July 1962. Audrey Backeberg, at the time 20 years old and residing in Reedsburg, in the United States, married and mother of two disappears without leaving any trace. It was not until Thursday, May 1, that the local police, in a statement, said that they have resolved this “Cold Case”, 63 years later.

A woman who fled to start her life
According to the BBCa non -profit group, Wisconsin Missing Persons Advocacy, reports that the young woman had complained against her husband shortly before her disappearance for blows and death threats. On the day of her disappearance, she had fled with the couple’s baby-sitter, then 14, to Indianapolis. There, the Baby-Sitter wanted to go back and Audrey Backeberg no longer left any trace.
The detective who has found his trace, Isaac Hanson, told the local TV channel WISN that he had spoken to Audrey, now 82 years old, for an hour. “”I think she was simply sidelined and, you know, she turned the page and made her life in a way. She seemed happy. Confident in his decision. No regrets. “
