Nestlé is in conflict with the taxman before the courts. By order dated April 15, she was authorized to enlist the file again before the court. According to Liberation, Nestlé Switzerland had assigned the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains (DGID) before the court on April 28. It is a litigation which had lasted for at least 2021 and which has resurfaced.
Indeed, following a check, the taxman had issued three perception titles against Nestlé Suisse. These are the title of collection of June 3, 2021 in the amount of 722,850,000 FCFA (simple rights) and 361,425,000 CFA francs (penalties), as well as the receipt title of June 3, 2019 for an amount of 505,000,000 CFA francs (simple rights) and 252,997,500 CFA francs (penalties), two collection titles dated June 3, 2019 for a total amount of 75,435 055 F CFA (single rights) and 37,717,528 CFA francs (penalties). A total of 1.956 billion CFA francs in simple rights and penalties combined.
Following an opposition introduced by Nestlé Suisse, the chartered accountant Abdoulaye Camara had been appointed by the court to take stock between the parties. This report submitted and validated, Nestlé Suisse was authorized, by order dated April 7, 2025, to re -entertain the cause opposing it to the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains.
