13 teams recently clashed in a sporting and friendly atmosphere during the Volleyball Gers Cup organized by the Federation of Rural Home.
The Federation of Rural Foyers of Gers organized the 17th Volleyball Gers Cup last April. 13 teams were gathered on the two gymnasiums of the powder and college in Mirande. From 8 am, the team of the Mirand Rural Foyer was hard at work for the setting up of the land and the reception of the players before the drawing of the meetings.
Jérôme Meyrous and Véronique Ader, members of the Rural Home Federation, with the advice of Nicolas Branet, member of the volleyball section of the Rural Home of Saint-Jean-le-Comtal, have changed all the teams in the 50 matches scheduled on the 5 available land.
This day was marked by a lot of enthusiasm on the part of the teams and a remarkable participation of young players who did not deserve, supported by a tribune atmosphere.
The conviviality was there this Sunday and did not prevent the very good level of these meetings, with a self-arbitration between all the teams, which brought together some 90 players.
The results
After the midday break at the mixed circle of the gendarmerie circle, the matches resumed at 2:30 p.m. until the time of the finals, which gave way, shortly after 7 p.m., at the Pot of Friendship and the delivery of lots to the teams.

Next meeting, the regional volleyball tournament for the Pentecost weekend in Claira, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. 6 to 7 teams have already scheduled their trip to defend the title obtained by the Gers in Hérault in 2024.
