With the tailwind of a booming advertising business, the Facebook group Meta is screwing up the expenses for AI infrastructure by another billion. Meta now estimates that this year 64 billion to CHF 72 billion (around CHF 60 billion) to issue dollars for investments, especially in data centers. So far, the range was $ 60 billion to $ 65 billion (around CHF 54 billion).
Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg has great ambitions to outsource rivals such as the Chatgpt developer Openai as well as Google and Elon Musk’s Ki company XAI with artificial intelligence. In the United States, the group has just introduced an independent AI app-so far, the functions were particularly accessible via the in-house platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook.
Last quarter Meta increased sales by 16 percent to $ 42.3 billion (37.35 billion euros) per year. Analysts had expected an average of 41.4 billion. The bottom line was that the quarter gain jumped up 35 percent to a good $ 16.6 billion.
For the current quarter of a year, Meta promised sales of between 42.5 billion and $ 45.5 billion. A forecast of a good $ 44 billion was expected on the market. The meta share temporarily increased by around four percent in post-interconnected trading.
