This came in a message to Taboun to the nation, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of May 8, 1945, which was committed by the French colonial authorities and killed 45,000 demonstrators who went out peacefully to demand the implementation of the promise of independence, after they stood by France in World War II.

He stressed that “the failure to waive the file stems from the fulfillment of the sacrifices of the massacres committed by French colonialism in Algeria,” in the states of Setif and Raja and Qalima (the east of the country) and Ain Temouchent (west) and others, and resulted in the fall of tens of thousands of victims, in one of the fiercest colonial crimes against defenseless civilians.

He considered that the commemoration of this painful anniversary “is a face of persistence in preserving the trustworthy of the martyrs.”

He said, “The Algerian people, who were made yesterday from suffering and sacrifices, will not stop their of challenges and will increase determination in the face of the critics of our principles and the independence of our national decision, and the failure of their intrigues by continuing to on the path of achieving major achievements.”
