What about extralegal benefits?
The end -of -year bonuses are the most popular benefits in the Horeca sector. Nearly 7 out of 10 employees see an end -of -year bonus on their bank account appear each year.
It is clear that the possibility of working at home or the granting of an internet subscription is hardly possible. Only 13% and 9% of Horeca employees benefit from such extralegal advantages. Indeed, many jobs, like that of server, make home work difficult. It is therefore difficult to justify an internet subscription to the taxman. In management positions or administrative positions, it is easier to work from time to time at home. The telework remains in the minority in the Horeca.
In general, the number of extralegal advantages granted in the Horeca is rather low. Employees benefit on average from just 6 extralegal advantages, the lowest number of all sectors in Belgium. Only teaching is doing less well, with an average of 5.6 different extralegal advantages per employee. Finally, the average number of vacation days in the Horeca sector is 22 days per year. Teaching is a much better student, with an average of 39 days of vacation per year.
