Petrolimex, pioneer of transparency in greenhouse gas emissions

Speaking during the ceremony for awarding the certificate of confirmation of the inventory report of greenhouse gases according to the ISO 14064-1: 2018 standard, the director general of BSI Vietnam, the Duyen Anh, congratulated The national Vietnam Petroleum Group – Petrolimex for having completed the inspection process and received the certificate of confirmation of the ISO 14064-1: 2018 standard for the inventory report of greenhouse gases throughout the group.

The BSI representative said that Petrolimex is the first major public company to reach this standard, thus demonstrating the pioneering role and the determination of the company in the green transition path.

Petrolimex Director General of Petrolimex, Dao Nam Hai, thanked BSI for his ISO 14064-1: 2018 assessment of the Petrolimex greenhouse gases inventory. The group’s leaders shared the importance of data collection, declaration and quantification of greenhouse gas emissions. The data helps Petrolimex to precisely assess its greenhouse gas emissions, thus developing effective emission reduction strategies and transparent its commitments in terms of sustainable development.

Petrolimex director general, Dao Nam Hai, said: “Obtaining the ISO 14064-1: 2018 certification in the inventory of greenhouse gases testifies to the serious investment of Petrolimex in the green transition strategy and ESG practices. From there, this creates an important basis for Petrolimex to progress towards the objective of carbon neutrality and Net Zero.
