The international football friendly match between the Vietnam women’s team and the Werder Bremen women’s club (Sportverein Werder Bremen) will take place at 7:00 p.m. May 16 in Hanoi.
It is an activity aimed at celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. At the same time, the match also demonstrated the active preparation of Vietnamese women’s football before the qualification tour of the 2026 Asian Asian championship. Playing against a traditional German team like the Werder Bremen will bring valuable experiences to the whole team.
The Werder Bremen women’s club is a representative of the German national female championship – Frauen -Bundesliga, one of the best women’s football tournaments in Europe and in the world. The team is based in the city of Bremen and is known for its modern and technically solid style of play. With a workforce made up of many talented young players and a rich international experience, Werder Bremen will be a quality opponent for the Vietnam Women’s team.

The Vietnamese women’s team should meet on May 6 at the Vietnam youth football training center (Hanoi) with around 30 athletes. Under the supervision of the May Duke Chung head coach, the Vietnamese players will have 10 days to prepare for the friendly match with the Werder Bremen women’s club.
