Accused of having set fire to a Tesla dealership and a premises of the Republican Party in Albuquerque (New Mexico), Jamison Wagner, 40, was charged by the United States Ministry of Justice. During the search of his home on Saturday, the investigators found eight incendiary devices, flammable products corresponding to those used on the two crime scenes, as well as a stencil identical to that used to tag the targeted buildings. These elements allowed the authorities to link Jamison Wagner to two recent attacks.
On February 9, a Tesla dealership of the city was targeted by a criminal fire: two cars were damaged, and inscriptions hostile to Elon Musk – including “Die Elon” and “Tesla Nazi Inc” – tagged on the facade. On March 30, it was the local seat of the Republican Party that was burnt down, its seriously damaged gateway. Again, a political slogan – “ICE = KKK”, in reference to the immigration police – was found on the wall.
No districts for the Ministry of Justice
The authorities’ response was final. “Whether it is the last lesson for those who participate in this wave of political violence,” said the Minister of Justice Pamela Bondi. “We will stop you, we will continue and we will not negotiate. Crimes have consequences. The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, assured that his services will continue the managers of these “acts of internal terrorism”.
