Moscow, April 21 (Xinhua)-Russian President Vladimir Putin did not give a order to prolong the Easter break who expired on Monday, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov, at the TASS press agency.
The truce, which lasted 30 hours, from 6:00 p.m. Moscow time (3:00 p.m. GMT) on Saturday at 12:00 am on Monday (9:00 p.m. GMT on Sunday), was announced by Mr. Putin at a meeting with the chief of the Russian staff, General Valéry Guérassimov.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that during this period, all the units involved in the special military operation strictly respected the ceasefire and maintained the positions they occupied before.
-The multiple attacks by Ukrainian forces on the night of Sunday to Monday near Sukha Balka and Bohatyr, in the Donetsk region, were pushed by Russian troops, added the ministry.
These attacks have made victims among civilians and damaged infrastructure, said the Russian Defense Ministry.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that 26 Russian assault actions took place between 00:00 (9:00 GMT on Saturday) and noon (9:00 a.m. GMT), accusing Russia of raping the self-proclaimed ceasefire.
