Shots were fired late Sunday evening on the residence of a man who was the victim of an attempted murder in the street last month in the Duvernay district of Laval.
The event of armed violence occurred around 11 p.m., on the rue de Cap-à-l’Aigle, in the heart of a wealthy sector.
Two shots were reportedly fired in the house, without anyone being injured. The shooter fled and has still not been found.
The authorities have confirmed that the resident of the place is known to the police.
Witnesses were met by the police and investigators had to go there on Monday at the start of the day to start their investigation work.
According to our information, the targeted residence is that of Guido Muzzo, a man who was tried to shoot in the street last month, very close to his home.
49 years old, Mr. Muzzo was pulled in his legs in the morning of April 6, while he was walking in his neighborhood.
He had survived the attack and no arrest has yet been made in this case.
Clearly, the second violent event which targets it directly is far from pleased residents of the sector.
“No need to tell you that I can’t wait for him to get rid of here,” said a neighbor encountered in the aftermath of the shots fired on Mr. Muzzo’s residence.
“There are lots of families with young children here. We don’t want people like him in the neighborhood, ”she added.
Guido Muzzo was arrested by Montreal police in March 2024. He was accused of carrying hidden weapons and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He was released pending trial, for a deposit of $ 20,000 and a ban on having a firearm.
