Ramzan Kadyrov, 48, is one of the faithful allies of Vladimir Putin. Since the start of the invasion in Ukraine, he has displayed unfailing support to the boss of the Kremlin and has even sent several thousand soldiers to fight for the Russian cause. His departure would certainly not call into question the involvement of Chechnya, under Russian administration. But it would have a symbolic significance.
The Insider recalls that the Chechen leader has already claimed his departure in recent years but that none of his requests has led.
