Michael Schumacher signs the Jackie Stewart helmet with the help of his wife

Jackie Stewart puts a helmet on auction, signed by several champions. The list includes Michael Schumacher, who signed the helmet with the help of his wife.

The helmet was signed by 20 world champions. By carrying this, Jackie Stewart, 85, will make a special tribute tour of the Bahrain International Circuit, marking the 60th anniversary of its beginnings in F1.

Schumacher, who has not been seen in public since his serious head in 2013, wrote his initials on the helmet with the help of his wife Corinna. The helmet will be used to raise awareness and collect funds for Stewart’s charity, Against Dementia race. The triple world champion created charity in 2016 after the diagnosis of his wife Helen.

The organization is also inspired by Formula 1 and innovation, in order to win the race against dementia. Charity also finances research, currently one of them carried out by the University of Cambridge, which aims to detect the signs of frontotemporal dementia of decades before it develops.

“It is wonderful that Michael was able to sign the helmet for this commendable cause – a for which there is no remedy. His wife helped him, and that completed all of each champion among us,” Stewart told the Daily Mail.

The helmet symbolizes hope and determination, and it will include distinctive tartan that the Scottish pilot wore in the 1960s and 70s.
