Saturday May 10 at 11:30 a.m. The inauguration of the two new Padel fields of the Tennis-Padel Club de Castries (TPCC), at the Domaine de Fondespierre, in the presence of mayor Claudine Vassas-Mejri, elected officials of the municipal council, representatives of the French tennis federation and the Occitanie /Pyrénées-Méditerranée region.
Over 500 members
The TPCC has nearly 550 members and the number has increased especially since 2022, the construction of two new Padel terrains has become a necessity. The club now has six tennis courts coated in three different areas which allows players to test their game on different conditions and four Padel fields. Padel practice has been clear in recent times.
“It is a club open to everyone regardless of the level of leisure practice at competition, it is a place of sociability with a club house opened every evening during the week and all day on weekends with drink and snacking “says the president of TPCC, François Bertrand.

Indeed, the place allows families to enjoy hiking trails, running track, volleyball court, cross bike and various green spaces for a picnic and relaxation.
“If the club receives aid from the city, the tennis federation and the region, it has funded the work 81 %”adds François Bertrand.
For his part, Nigel Williams takes care of the club’s communication and organizes exchanges every 18 months with an English club from Bristol. “With these new Padel terrains we have developed a reservation by internet and a land is hired during the day all week”, Declares Nigel Williams, who adds: “ At the club we wish to maintain the spirit of conviviality, pleasure and fair play, this is an opportunity to come and discover the Padel and we have a Padel school in the project. “
