Senior individual finals
This Thursday in Neufchâteau (2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.)
At the end of a record year where more than 300 players participated in the qualifying phases of the individual Vosges championships (4e 3e et 2e series), the last survivors met on the side of Neufchâteau, on May 8 afternoon.
-In the second series, the flagship category of the competition, the mass is said among the ladies where the competition took place in the pool. The big favorite and leader of Vosges tennis currently, Colombe Clédat (2/6 Remiremont) assumed its status by taking the title, Julie Dromigny (15 Golbey) recovering second place. On the men’s side, Justin Cosserat (3/6 Thaon-les-Vosges), accustomed to the finals in the department, will have to be wary of the young Géromois in full Baptiste TUSA progression (3/6 Gérardmer). Their last confrontation dating back to last summer had seen the victory of Cosserat in three tight sets.
In the third series category, the young Golbéenne Léa Cazin (15/1) was able to pass the various obstacles reversing two opponents after losing the first set to offer herself a final where Chloé Raizner waits for him (15/1 Raon-l’Etape) who qualified himself without fear. Their only confrontation had turned in favor of Cazin this year. Among the boys, the final will oppose Kévin Ndoye (15/1 Gérardmer), who took advantage of the injury of its club president to integrate the competition, to Golbeen Lucas Pierrard (15/1). The two players multiplied the victories to afford a prestigious final in a very raised table.
In the fourth series, Constance Richardson (30/1 Thaon-les-Vosges) made a strong impression and will appear in favorite against Clothilde Bisval (30/1 Golbey). Same observation among the gentlemen or Johan Kempf (15/4 Thaon) dominated the qualifications to face Ethan Bourquin (15/5 Gérardmer).
