The release of the remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion would be imminent! In recent weeks, several reliable sources have raised a Shadow Drop for April. This is indeed what the VGC media affirmed, Nate the Hate, as well as Jeff Grubb. The latter has just argued that Bethesda’s cult game will get a facelift next week!
The remake of oblivion could be released next week
In the last edition of Gamebreaking Newsthe famous journalist has argued that the remake of Oblivion should be released during the week of April 21! Insider Detective Seed said an outing at the beginning of the month, which did not confirm.
However, there is enough to be more confident with Jeff Grubb, insofar as it has proven its reliability on numerous occasions. He is clearly not at his first attempt. It was for example he who had spoken years ahead of the collaboration between Xbox and Kojima or who advanced the date of several State of Play with precision.
As a reminder, this remake under Unreal Engine 5 would be planned on Xbox Series X | S, PS5 and PC and would be provided by the Virtuos studio.
Gameplay details had leaked in January. The blocking system would have been reviewed to provide a less monotonous and less frustrating experience. Inspired by soul games as well as the first Assassin’s Creed trilogy, it would offer a more fluid and responsive gameplay. Struction would also benefit from adjustments, with more visible icons, and the damage calculations have been redesigned to improve the balance of clashes.
The endurance system would have been modified to reduce the frustration of the player, by making destabilization less easy to trigger, in particular thanks to a change in the formulas used. The HUD, on the other hand, would adopt a clearer design and visually more attractive to seduce a younger audience.
New animations would have been integrated to accentuate reactions to blows, both among enemies and the player. Finally, archery would have been improved to offer better playability, whether in the first or third person, and adapts to modern standards of the genre.
It remains to be seen if the remake of oblivion will actually be released next week. If this is the case, it should logically make its debut directly in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and the PC Game Pass, since it is a license belonging to Microsoft.
