National Council: the socialist Benoît Gaillard sworn in good and due form

No doubt he had been waiting for this moment for a long time. The unionist Benoît Gaillard was sworn this Monday, May 5, on the occasion of the May session. He replaces Roger Nordmann (PS/VD), who hung up his gloves after more than twenty years in the People’s House (2004-2025).

Gaillard was born in Lausanne in 1985. He was the son of journalist Michel Zendali and a Valais, from Ardon, Nicole Gaillard. He joined the Lausanne Socialist Party in 2005 and assumed his presidency in 2013. He has numerous strings to his bow, as secretary to the Union and president of the General Navigation Company on Lake Geneva (CGN)

Benoît Gaillard will bring his faconde on the Bern side where his formulas will find a audience. During the festival of May 1ᵉʳ in Lausanne, he told his comrades: “The money that feeds finance and the oligarchs of all countries, this money is lacking elsewhere. The theory of runoff was mistaken: the only thing flowing afloat is in private jets and luxury champagne in crystal cuts ”.

Benoît Gaillard has long been to the former National Consulting Rebecca Ruiz, currently a state councilor in charge of health of the canton of Vaud. They had two daughters, but today they are separated.
