The final decorative marking of the roadway could not be laid in autumn 2024 due to unfavorable weather conditions. This is why this work will take place this spring at night. They will be cut into two sentences:
- From April 22 to 25, 2025, installation of the bottom of the marking (4 nights)
- From 12 to 16 May 2025, laying decorative marking (5 nights
The site will require the closure of rue Louis-de-Savoie from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Parking will be prohibited from 3 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Bus and vehicle traffic will be deflected by the Mont-Blanc and Jean-Louis-Lochmann quays. The MBC bus stops “Casino” and “Temple” will be temporarily moved to the quays. The dates of the work are indicated subject to weather conditions.
Why decorative marking?
The geometric shapes on the ground are intended to indicate intuitively where pedestrians cross the most frequently. The trapeze forms recall the gardeners installed along the street. These decorative markings encourage motorists to vigilance and improve the feeling of pedestrian safety.
