(Keystone-ATS) “A common ambition constitutes the common thread shared by these four documents: to prioritize the quality and consistency of the development of public spaces”, wrote the municipality in its press release.

The municipal master plan (PDCOM), which dates from 1997, was revised by integrating “the various sectoral guidelines carried out by city services”, such as the vegetation strategy, the Energy Plan or the Public Space Plan.

This PDCOM, which draws “the main lines of urban development for the next 15 to 25 years”, will be put in public consultation from May 8 to June 9. An outdoor exhibition on the February 7 place will present the important elements of the project.

The modification of the town planning regulations aims to quickly modify “some key articles in order to ensure their consistency with the objectives of the climate plan”, continues the press release.

The master plan for public spaces plans “coherent development” of all public spaces. With the objective: to offer each Yverdon “a quality public space” five minutes from his home.

Finally, active land policy analyzes each site intended to become a new district. This consists, for example, in ensuring a social and intergenerational mix by placing senior housing, student housing, office surfaces, sports and cultural equipment in adequate places.
