With his motion, the advisor to the States Andrea Caroni (PLR/AR) wishes to remind the ECHR to his “primary mission” by fixing her safeguards. Nonwing -purpose associations should no longer have access to the appeal and the Member States must benefit from a room for maneuver.
The left and part of the PVL were against, fearing a limitation of the independence of the ECHR. In vain. The motion was approved by 122 votes to 71. The Federal Council was also favorable.
