On May 1, 2024, Athenaïs and her husband Jonathan opened Athenadogs and Catthe grooming salon for dogs, cats and NAC (rabbits, guinea pigs, rats …) at 10, rue de la Jewrie. A symbolic date that brought them luck.
A year later, to the day, we find them smiling, happy to have settled in Étampes. Many customers came to celebrate this anniversary with them,
Medhi Mejeri, municipal councilor in charge of trade and crafts, was also present alongside municipal elected officials Sana Aabibou and Franck Coenne as well as the former manager Mélanie Le Bars who came with his relatives.
Jonathan reminded the assistance how much they were affected by the incredible wave of support that carried this first year:
« We were made to feel very welcome by the customers of Mélanie Le Bars but also by the elected officials of the city. Thanks to the numerous press articles published on our actions, in particular on the concept of participatory grooming – where customers can remain alongside their animal to reassure it while lightening their bill – our notoriety quickly developed. »
Always led by the desire to innovate and improve the offer of services, Athenaïs and Jonathan recently launched a detangling workshop. The objective: teaching masters to maintain the coat of their daily animals. This service is a winner for everyone: the dog spends less time in the living room, the work is facilitated for the groomer, and the bill is reduced. Another project under development: the opening of a new shop in Milly-la-Forêt.
« Everything we have implemented, accompanied by good feedback, allowed us to expand our customers. Some customers now come from Morsang-sur-Orge, and we have even been contacted by a breeding of Australian shepherds in Rouen to organize masterclass on the standard cut! “Details Jonathan.
Passionate about her profession, Athenaïs, trained by Nathalie Bourgeois, best worker in France and world grooming champion, decided to resume competition. She will participate in the next French canine grooming championship on November 2 with her magnificent American cocker spaniel DONA PRESACE Donatella.
The couple also opened a hotel for sociable dogs at their home, allowing masters to go on vacation with a quiet spirit.
-They also launched an online store bringing together all the products available in the living room. Jonathan also provides delivery of kibble at home every Saturday morning. Another service, also, customers can reserve online appointments. Other project under development: the opening of a new store in Milly-la-Forêt.
