It was following a call for candidates that the State of Senegal, through the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), participated in the Fiftieth Salon of Inventions and Innovations in Geneva (Switzerland) which was held from April 9 to 13, 2025.
“Twelve (12) Senegalese inventors were selected and represented our country. At the end of the evaluations, 10 among our 12 inventors were awarded ”. This innovation “uses railroad tracks, highways and unused fences, providing solar energy while reducing environmental impact”. Mr. Cheikhou Kane distinguished himself with “a process of processing alumina phosphates to produce pellet fertilizers (NPK), pure alumina and rejection usable in construction”. The process “makes it possible to recover alumina and phosphate by chemical separation, with a high and competitive yield”. Another invention is the engine of Mr. Oumar Fall Haidara, for his part, “couple of fundamental magnetic, gravitational forces to generate propulsion”, using “oscillating devices and interactions of strength”. The fifth gold medal has returned to Mr. Adama Kane, inventor of “Jokko Health”, “a secure digital payment system dedicated to health”, which ensures that “health expenses purchases, donations, insurance are traceable from start to finish”.
The silver medal was allocated to Mr. Adama Faye for “an automatic device to measure the speed of blood sedimentation, intended for hospitals”. Sufficient for the ministry to expresses its pride. “The Mesri congratulates all the participants for the time, their audacity, their availability and their patriotism. All these award -winning inventions in Geneva show a real need to solve concrete problems encountered at the local level. This endogenous approach to invention and innovation honors Senegal ”. Finally, “these performances are made possible thanks to the vision of the President of the Republic Sem Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye and the orientations of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko,” notes the same source.
The document concludes by emphasizing the role of other institutional partners: “The Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, through the Mission of Senegal in Geneva, played a leading role in this project, at all stages of the process.
