Following his behavior during the meeting against the Union Bordeaux-Bègles, last Saturday evening, the manager of Stade Rochelais, Ronan O’Garawas the subject of a match report of the fourth referee of the meeting. He will be summoned before the LNR disciplinary committee on Wednesday, May 7. He is not suspended pending this hearing.
The Irish manager is starting to be a regular on the disciplinary committee. Since his arrival in July 2021, he has no less than twenty-one Suspension weeks:
two weeks for ‘lack of respect for the authority of an official’ in a match against Toulon in November 2021, two weeks for ‘indiscipline’ and ‘contestation of the decisions of officials’ during a meeting against Racing 92 in April 2022, six weeks for ‘lack of respect’ and ‘action against an official’ in the match against Lyon in September 2022, dix weeks and fine of € 20,000 (including € 5,000 suspended) for ‘damage to the higher interests of rugby’, in particular due to critical comments towards the arbitration and the organization of the championship in November 2022 and a Key bench for his behavior during a defeat against Racing 92 in December 2023.
