After meeting last Sunday in the terroir final with an overwhelming victory of Nontron over Lalinde, the two clubs meet to play the quarter-final of the New Aquitaine championship, this Sunday in Henri Laforest (3 p.m.).
Bis repetita. Nontronnais and Lindois will once again overcome this Sunday after their success acquired in the round of 16, respectively against the reole for the CSN and in Saintes for the USL.
But since then, between the two teams, there has been this departmental final (said to be terroir) where the suspense only lasted half-time as the superiority of the red and blue was radiant with eight tests to the key. “Our primary objective was to digest this shield well because I admit that we have celebrated this title well,” smiles Sylvain Charbonnet, the co-co-coating. Then, the week was focused on the best of this meeting against Lalinde. Because we expect a big match against Lindois, upset and revanchards, “adds the Nontronnais forward coach, who will again benefit from a game at home, with the aim of staying undefeated at home and going as far as possible.
Nontron Favorite, Lalinde Outsider
And as they say, the appetite coming by eating. On this, we can trust this training that has hovered over his opponents since the start of the championship with an average of six trials per game. On the Lindois side, Mickael Mouhoubi, a player-coach, knows that the task will be more than difficult. “Nontron is a very good team with talented players like their ten (Victor Lepretre) and many positions. We will recover players behind and we go there to win but it will be more than complicated, ”says Mouhoubi. There is no doubt that Victor Lepretre will want to celebrate Easter by a qualification of Nontron who will be the big favorite of this derby.
