Arrived straight from Aveyron, the functional divisional commander Jean-Pierre Delmas has just taken up his functions at the head of the Carmaux police district.

From Aveyron to Tarn, there is only one step. Jean-Pierre Delmas, functional divisional commander, crossed it on Monday May 5 by becoming the chief of the Police district of Carmaux, who also includes the municipalities of Blaye-les-Mines and Saint-Benoît de Carmaux. He succeeds Commander Eric Sierra.

An installation ceremony was organized on this occasion on the site of the future police station of the constituency, in particular in the presence of Sébastien Simoes, secretary of the Tarn prefecture and sub- of the district of Albi, and the divisional commissioner Sophie Genet-Eyrolles, departmental director of the national police of Tarn (DDPN 81).

A native of Rodez, commander Delmas, 57, was hitherto deputy DDPN of Aveyron. He was also a district head of Decazeville, who has a fairly strong “cousinage” with the Carmausin, “a former mining basin in retraining, with endearing and attached inhabitants to their territory,” he explains.

Now at the head of around fifty police officers, Jean-Pierre Delmas will notably get involved in the project of the new Carmaux police station, which should make it possible to improve both the reception of the public and the working conditions of police officers, “who have great need”.
