Several motorists felt their wings on the roads of Valais this month of April. Between the beginning and the end of the month, Cantonal Police has identified six driveragainst four recorded between January and March.

The dates back to Saturday April 26. Shortly before 2:30 a.m., a motorist was recorded at 124 km/h instead of 50 on the street crossing in Sion. The checks revealed that the driver, a 41 -year -old Portuguese, was under the influence of alcohol. His driving license was removed from him immediately and his vehicle was kidnapped.

On Saturday April 12, shortly before 3 p.m., an 18-year-old was measured at 131 km/h instead of 50 on the Som-la-Proz road in Orsières. He who had been in possession of his driver’s license for just a month, he was immediately removed.

Cabotages also denounced by the cantonal police

“All these drivers have been denounced in the road traffic and navigation service as well as with the public prosecutor,” said the Valais police in its press release. They risk a private sentence that can go up to 4 years as well as a permit withdrawal of at least 2 years. ”

The police also report several cases of cabotage, either the transport of goods or passengers in a country by a foreign carrier: a minibus registered in the Czech Republic which took a tourist between Verbier and Geneva Airport, a delivery vehicle registered with a trailer carrying goods or a semi-trailer registered in transport German.

“All drivers and their employer have been denounced to the road traffic and navigation service,” said the cantonal police.
